With a clean score of 3-0, Virtus.pro snatched another tournament trophy and ended a dream run for NoPangolier.
Maincast Autumn Brawl concluded with Virtus.pro dominating fellow CIS team NoPangolier. The best-of-five series ended quickly as Virtus.pro showed that they only need three games to take the title.
Opponents NoPangolier had a great run early in the tournament as they were undefeated in the group stage. They won multiple series without dropping a game before facing Natus Vincere at the semifinals. A closer series ensued, but NoPangolier emerged victorious again to earn a spot in the grand final.
Virtus.pro had a shorter run, winning only three series to secure the title. They received a direct playoff invite along with Team Secret, Gambit Esports, and Ninjas In Pyjamas.
The final series started with a 70-minute game and a close kill count between Virtus.pro and NoPangolier. At 60 minutes, NoPangolier managed to kill Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko’s Lina but was unsuccessful in attacking Virtus.pro’s high ground. NoPangolier would again attempt to push Virtus.pro’s barracks, only for it to result in four of their own heroes being killed. They immediately bought back to contest Roshan, but this fight also went in Virtus.pro’s favor and secured the opening game win.
The second game started with an early net worth lead from Virtus.pro even as NoPangoiler built a six kill advantage. NoPangolier bounced back with aggressive rotations, but in the end, Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev’s Terrorblade was too much to handle.
The deciding game was very one-sided, ending after only 24 minutes. Virtus.pro dominated with Vladimir “RodjER” Nikogosyan’s Tiny and an early Aghanim’s scepter for No[o]ne’s Invoker.
Virtus.pro took home $50,000 for winning the tournament, while NoPangolier was awarded $15,000 for the team’s second-place finish.
