Version exclusive Pokemon available on Scarlet and Violet co-op
Ahead of the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet on November 18, it’s been confirmed that players can catch exclusive Pokemon from the other version through co-op.
Exclusive Pokemon is one of the main differences between Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet. Depending on what version players choose, they will get specific Pokemon, meaning that players cannot complete the Pokedex. Unless they play with a friend that owns the other version of the case.
After players complete the story in the game, they can join other players’ worlds and explore the Paldea region as a group. While being on another version of the game, players can access the Pokemon that are otherwise not available in their game. They can also participate in Tera Battle Raids.
It’s also been revealed that players can catch shiny Pokemon while being guests on other players’ versions of the game. To be able to visit a friend, players must own a copy of Pokemon Scarlet or Violet and a Nintendo Switch Online membership. These are mandatory requirements. Players that have been banned on Pokemon HOME for possessing illegitimate data cannot access these features.
The Pokemon exclusive for Pokemon Scarlet are:
- Larvitar
- Pupitar
- Tyranitar
- Stonjourner
- Armarouge.
The Pokemon exclusive for Pokemon Violet are:
- Bagon
- Shelgon
- Salamence
- Ceruledge
- Eiscue
How many Pokemon are confirmed for Scarlet and Violet?
At least 192 Pokemon from previous generations will appear across the Paldea region. It’s been confirmed that Charizard is not included in the list. During the month of December, Charizard with the Mightiest Mark will be available through Tera Raid Battles. It will have Dragon Tera Type, making it a strong Pokemon right off the bat. Players can only catch this Charizard once per saved data.
From November 24 through November 27, Eevee will be available in the Tera Raid Battle with different Tera Types. It can be caught more than once.
