Valve, known for its many successful series, such as Counter-Strike, Half-Life, etc., has been the talk of the PC town for couple of months. The gaming giant has finally broke it’s silence with an official Deadlock reveal. Let’s explore more about this!

Valve has officially revealed its highly-anticipated new title in the shape of a Steam listing for the game. After months of playtesters getting copyrighted for their shared clips, the gaming giant has finally confirmed the development of Deadlock. The reveal describes the game as a 6-on-6 MOBAxshooter. The game is still in early development and features a lot of temporary art and gameplay. Finally, fans have a legit glimpse into what Valve has been working on, though many questions remain unanswered.

The official reveal gives us a teaser but still leaves a lot to the imagination. The game is still in its early stages, so a full release could be a long way off. Deadlock is Valve’s major release in years, and could shape up to be an amzing title. The game is still shrouded in many mysteries, but the initial details and clips are already creating a buzz among die-hard followers.

What’s with the buzz around the Deadlock reveal?

The Steam listing, serving as the main Deadlock reveal, offers a brief overview but stops short of providing in-depth information. The game’s official description hints at a blend of action-packed combat and tactical gameplay. Although, it has already drawn comparisons to other games in the genre, Valve’s history of innovation ensures us that Deadlock is set apart from the general crop of the field.

This MOBAxshooter has already generated considerable interest, peaking at over 44,000 concurrent players on Steamdb.info. Alongside the Deadlock reveal, Valve announced the removal of content-sharing restrictions. This freedom to share is huge, as it enables playtesters to freely and fearfully share gameplay footage and screenshots on social media. Though Valve has not disclosed details about the game’s business model, all signs point to Deadlock potentially adopting a free-to-play approach.

For now, Deadlock is still an invite-only game. However the surge in new players, accompanied by social media presence has plenty of discussions underway. Fans can only speculate about the gameā€™s storyline and gameplay until another announcement is made. One thing is certain: Deadlock is already shaping to be one of Valve’s most intriguing projects in recent memory.
