Valorant ranked distribution shows most players stuck in Silver
Are you a hard-stuck Silver in Valorant? The ranked distribution in patch 3.0 may make you feel a little better about your rank.
Constant tweaks to Valorant matchmaking ranking have made it harder for less skilled players to keep on track while climbing.
Stats by Valking
has revealed that about 35.3% of players in the current patch are stuck in Silver, the highest percentage number of any rank.

The ranked groups consist of Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Immortal, and Radiant. Radiant is the highest attainable rank in the game. Ranking up in Valorant has become an arduous task with constant updates to the matchmaking system and the overall game mechanics. In the early release days, almost anyone could run around the Valorant maps and feel like they were good at the game. However, the developer has modified the game into a more cut-throat shooter that requires a higher skill level to rank up.
The rank-up process has become slower but more transparent. Players who were finding quick success despite lower skill levels now find themselves barred within one rank for weeks at a time. Especially after the recent patch that made shooting the more central point of the game, lesser players find themselves in a tough spot. This could be one of the reasons why Silver ranks of Valorant are saturated in patch 3.0.
Conversely, Radiant rank only accommodates 0.1% of players, the lowest number overall. Hitting Radiant in Valorant is not a cakewalk. It requires a lot of hard work.
Immortal is also a tough rank to achieve, having only 0.6% of players in patch 3.0. As the ranks after Silver start getting togher, the number of players keeps decreasing. While MMR pool changes in previous patches played a crucial role in squishing up Silver, fewer players in higher ranks is the standard in most titles.
It’s worth noting here that several players in lower ranks like Iron and Bronze have been fluctuating with each patch, but Radiant has managed to remain the same, more or less. This means that many dead accounts are just sitting in lower ranks with no activity, which may also add to their higher numbers.
How to get out of Silver in Valorant
Getting out of Silver in Valorant isn’t easy due in part to smurfs and higher-skilled players filling the lower queues as they rank up. One of the easiest ways to beat the smurfs at their game is by making use of strong weapons that are difficult to counter even with superior aim. Try learning the Judge and Shorty to win more duels through superior positioning while also spending less money.
Eventually, you’ll need to improve your basic aim and movement mechancis if you really want to rank up in Valorant.
