Twitch streamer Tyler “Trainwreck” Niknam expressed some strong opinions about TwitchCon 2022 and its attendees through social media.

On October 7, 2022, Twitch streamers and fans gathered to celebrate the most important convention for content creators on the platform, TwitchCon 2022. The event saw thousands of fans meeting their favorite content creators after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. While fans were happy to be back at the event, some content creators were not that impressed with the event. Shortly following the end of TwitchCon 2022, Trainwreck aired his opinions on the controversy over social media.

“The entire event is a circle jerk of insecure corrupt losers trying to relive high school how they think it should’ve went, the “good guys” of twitch are mostly selfish greedy a-holes behind closed doors and it shows from their vocal minority part of their communities,” Trainwreck wrote on Twitter.

The outburst came as a response to a video where a security guard at the TwitchCon venue said attendees were verbally abusive, entitled, and lacked social skills.

Trainwreck is not the only one who had a bad experience at the event. Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa talked about some scary stalker encounters at the convention.

What happened to Trainwreckstv on Twitch?

It is not the first time Trainwreck has had something to say about the platform. In 2021, the streamer moved to Canada to avoid taxation in the United States. Trainwreck, who mostly streams gambling games, has been heavily criticized for the content he puts out.

Back in September, Twitch decided to ban gambling streams, a ruling that affected Trainwreck to an extent.

“The inconsistency to not ban sports betting is corruption considering the fact you have your hands in the $13B NFL deal cookie jar &the fact you virtue signaling streamers act like you care about ‘gambling’ are silent when it’s 100x the market & more prevalent are just as corrupt,” Trainwreck wrote for another social media post.
