Overwatch League fans have still not recovered from Daniel “Dafran” Francesca’s sudden retirement, and there’s already another big name OWL player leaving the competitive scene before Stage 2 commences.

Toronto Defiant’s Lee “Stellar” Do-hyung has just announced his retirement from professional Overwatch on Twitter.

“Due to personal reasons, I have decied to retire from being a pro,” Stellar said.

In the video shared by the Toronto Defiant, Stellar went on to thank all of the fans who supported him up to this point.

The team’s general manager, Jaesun Won, reached out to Stellar to thank him for all of his hard work and dedication.

“Enjoy your retirement, and the next time I’m in Korea, dinner’s on me,” Won said.

Head Coach Beom-joon “Bishop” Lee chimed in with similar sentiments. He told the team’s former DPS main that he was sad to see him go. Bishop also told Stellar that he had learned a lot from him, and that he had brought great confidence and diligence to the Defiant team.

Stellar was a part of the Toronto Defiant’s starting roster, playing in many of the team’s games during Stage 1 until the expansion side lost to the San Francisco Shock in the quarterfinals of the playoffs. He was formerly on Korean Contenders team O2 Ardeont.

The Toronto Defiant are currently left with only two remaining DPS players, Lee “Ivy” Seung-hyun and Choi “Asher” Joon-seong.

Toronto’s first Stage 2 game will be on April 5 against fellow expansion team Washington Justice. Toronto was heavily favored in the matchup, though this latest move could throw a wrench in the Defiant’s plans.
