AWP master Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev is adored by many, but one Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player may be the biggest s1mple fan so far. His Rubik’s Cube portrait of s1mple is nothing short of amazing.

s1mple is pegged as one of the best CSGO players to have ever touched the game. The Ukrainian legend has an inspiring story and a CSGO career studded with MVP awards and a major trophy. It’s no surprise that he has a massive fan following, but some supporters go the extra mile to express their love. This new token of appreciation from a fan is both fun and creative. 

An artist named Space.xxl has created s1mple’s portrait using just Rubik’s Cubes. The final product is the spitting image of s1mple from IEM Katowice 2020 with an artistic touch of vivid colors. 

Space.xxl’s s1mple portrait likely includes around 300 separate cubes. While fitting all these cubes into one frame seems challenging, finding the right color combination must have been a task unto itself. The artist has picked the perfect shades to achieve Na`Vi’s signature yellow. He added blue to the eyes for some depth, assembling a more realistic s1mple portrait. 

Fans instantly loved this grand piece of art, but they’re even more astonished by Space.xxl’s genius. The artist had to assemble 300 cubes in different patterns to achieve the perfect coloring. Not only that, he also cracked tons of cubes to get the yellow colors, the dominant shade in the portrait. The artist hasn’t shared exactly how much time this piece took. However, it’s easy to tell that he excels at solving Rubik’s from the video he shared with the fans. 

This isn’t Space.xxl’s first Rubik’s Cube art. He’s pretty famous for his unique art style and has garnered thousands of followers with his craft. Fans are now tagging s1mple under his art piece to get the deserved recognition of his work. The CSGO community’s love for s1mple has already made Space.xxl’s s1mple piece one of his most popular creations so far. 

Is s1mple the best CSGO player? 

s1mple was named the best CSGO player in 2021 for his stellar stats. The pro player has consistently remained in the top five list over the last four years. The AWPer finally the number one spot in 2021 after winning the PGL Stockholm major, and is generally considered to be one of the greatest CSGO players of all time.
