Mohg is a devastatingly powerful Omen who wields immense blood magic, making him a major challenge in Elden Ring.

He can be found in Mohgwyn Palace, the burning cliffside structure that can be seen in Siofra River deep below the earth. His castle can only be accessed in two ways, through a questline with White-Faced Varré or a teleporter in the Consecrated Snowfield. A similarly named boss, who may or may not be the same person, can be found deep underneath Leyndell, Royal Capital.

Where to find Mohg, Lord of Blood in Elden Ring

Players will be able to see a bloody swamp and a massive Parthenon-like structure from the Siofra River area very early in the game. They won’t be able to get there immediately, though. The first place to find an entrance to Mohgwyn Palace, the domain of Mohg, Lord of Blood, is in the western reaches of the Consecrated Snowfield.

If you haven’t finished it already, you’ll need to make it to the Mountaintops of the Giants to find this teleporter. There you can collect the other half of the Haligtree Secret Medallion, the first of which is found in the Village of the Albinaurics in western Liurnia. In the mid-west of the Snowfield, there is a field of enormous white pillars where you’ll be invaded by an NPC called Sanguine Noble.

Head west from here to find a teleporter that leads you into Mohgwyn Palace, where Mohg, Lord of Blood awaits at the end.

How to get to Mohgwyn Palace in Elden Ring

There’s a second way to get to the location where you can find Mohg in Elden Ring, thanks to White-Faced Varré. Varré will encourage you to invade other players and once you’ve done it enough times, he’ll ask you to find the blood of a maiden, which can be found in the Church of Inhibition.

This is the fastest and earliest way to find Mohg. He’ll be an incredibly stiff test for any under-leveled players, but the area surrounding Mohg, Lord of Blood is also the best rune-farming area in all of Elden Ring.

Where to find Mohg, the Omen in Leyndell

Mohg can also be easily found in Leyndell, the capital of the Lands Between, after you complete the Crumbling Farum Azula area. Defeating the area boss for that zone will destroy most of Leyndell and open up new locations. One of these new locations is the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds. Mohg, the Omen is the boss of this area and the real body of Dung Eater can also be found here.

Savvy players can access it earlier by jumping down a well near the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace. This offers much earlier access to the boss than what’s available otherwise.

Mohg, The Omen can be found at the end of this underground section and can also be fought. This is a separate boss from Mohg in Mohgwyn Palace. The lore implications are unclear, but both of them pose a serious challenge.
