These are statistically the best CSGO players in 2023
Every FACEIT player hopes to gain some sweet, sweet ELO with every win, and these pros have racked up the highest rankings in the entire world.
Third-party matchmaking services have become the de facto standard for top-level play in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Valve matchmaking, with its mediocre anti-cheat and 64-tick servers, just doesn’t cut it. However, server providers like FACEIT also allow for a more in-depth rating system than Valve’s own medals. If you’re curious about which players have climbed the highest, here are the top three ELO rankings for CSGO in the middle of 2023.
m0NESY has the highest ELO of any CSGO player
With a total ELO of 6,724, star G2 Esports AWPer Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov has the highest CSGO ELO rating of any player by a significant margin. That rating is leads and bounds above the competition, with the second-place player more than 500 ELO points behind him.
m0NESY averages a monster 1.45 KDA with a 63% game rate. Those insane stats are part of why he’s the top-ranked player in both Russia and Europe, the two most competitive regions. His reputation probably helped him get to such a height, as no one would dare keep an AWP out of his hands.
fame takes second place for highest FACEIT ELO
The runner-up for the highest ELO CSGO player is none other than Virtus.pro’s very own Petr “fame” Bolyshev. The reigning major champion is currently rated at 6,145, thanks to a 62% win rate in matchmaking.
In addition to boasting the second-highest ELO, he also boasts the highest headshot percentage of anyone in the top ten at 55%. While still a solid step below m0NESY, fame maintains a distinction as the top-ranked rifler in the world.
The third-ranked CSGO player isn’t even on a team
You’d expect iconic names and faces to top the FACEIT leaderboards, but third place currently belongs to an entirely unsigned player. Erkhan “gokushima” Bagynanov makes the podium with an ELO rating of 6,068. That’s just three points above Pawel “dycha” Dycha, but bronze is bronze, no matter the margin.
This is the absolute highest ranking for any player not currently signed to a top-level pro team. gokushima plays in qualifiers with HOTU, which appears to be an unsponsored stack of highly ranked players. He tends to perform very well individually, earning a 1.26 HLTV rating at the first IEM Dallas European qualifier
