These betting favorites might be your ticket at the PGL Major Antwerp

There’s a big betting opportunity on the horizon for CSGO fans as one of the biggest tournaments in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is set to get underway in Antwerp.

PGL Major Antwerp 2022 is kicking off on May 9 and will feature the best CSGO teams in the world duking it out for a share of a $1,000,000 prize pool. While CSGO fans can’t claim a piece of that prize, they do have the opportunity to bet on the event’s most exciting matches.

The first consideration for any bettor is to establish the favorites at the competition. FaZe Clan has rocketed up the charts in recent months with some great tournament performances. This international team of veterans is still searching for its first CSGO major trophy, and the Antwerp event will be a great opportunity to earn it.

But it won’t be easy. Cloud9 recently acquired the former Gambit CSGO roster, and this is a hungry team looking to again make its mark on the international stage. Cloud9 may be the biggest challenger to FaZe in the tournament. A grand finals rematch of the classic final between FaZe and C9 at the Boston Major years ago could be in the cards, and there’s no doubt that fans would be excited to see it.

It’s impossible to talk about favorites in any CSGO tournament without mentioning Natus Vincere. Led by star player Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, Na`Vi is always a threat to win any event they attend. That will again be the case when the team visits Antwerp for PGL’s major tournament. But as strong as Na`Vi is, their form has been relatively inconsistent of late, and that could give pause to bettors.

For those unsure which team to bet on, there are other ways to engage with CSGO and potentially make some money, though there’s always risk involved. CSGO Coinflip is one such opportunity, with high-priced and attractive skins on the line.

As for the upcoming CSGO major, underdogs are also in play. Ninjas in Pyjamas, Furia, and Team Liquid have all shown the capability to hang with and even beat any opponent on any given day. The trick for these teams will be stringing enough such results together to make a real run at the major title.

The road will be especially difficult for Team Liquid, considering that TL must begin at the event’s first stage. Teams such as C9 and NiP won’t even begin competing until the third stage, giving them a competitive advantage over such squads as Liquid and Furia.
