These are five of the best CSGO players from 2019

2019 was a very competitive year for the top Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players. Some of the best teams and players emerged during the course of the year, and some have become even better than they were in 2018.

Here we will discuss some of the top CSGO players of the year and consider who may have been the best overall. While all of these players depend on their teammates to help enable their success, these select few have managed to have an extraordinary individual impact on their games, going above and beyond the majority of their peers.

These top players are chosen based on their impressive skills, natural talents, and their impact in pro games, the sort of exciting impact that is comparable to the latest casino bonus promotions.

Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut

Role: Rifler

Team: Vitality

Total Kills: 12546

Maps Covered: 553

ZywOo is the rising star of CS GO. He belongs to Vitality and had no problem carrying the team’s name up the charts. Some have ranked him as the second-best player in the world, and he truly deserves to be among the top players of the year.

While others must work hard to achieve their best results, for Mathieu it sometimes seems a natural talent, as the young pro has just turned 18 years old. He has already surprised the world with his great skills, and his kill to death ratio of 1.4 beats s1mple’s ratio, which is 1.23.

Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz

Role: Awper, Rifler

Team: Astralis

Total Kills: 29029

Maps Covered: 1428

It’s ironic that a knee injury is what originally set dev1ce on his current path as one of the best CSGO players in the world. dev1ce is known for his impressive skills with the AWP and has been in the scene since 2013. He belongs to Astralis and is a big reason, perhaps the biggest, for the Danish team’s historic success in recent years.

Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev

Role: Awper, Rifler

Team: NaVi

Total Kills: 24156

Overall number of covered maps: 1077

s1mple is one of the most recognized Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players. But it seems like ZywOo has overtaken him in 2019. Like ZywOo, s1mple is the biggest reason why his team is typically rated so highly.

s1mple is known as an AWPer and as a rifler. He was introduced to Counter-Strike by his brother at the age of four and has improved his skills over the years. Perhaps that’s why he is still considered to be among the best. Most outlets have rated him as among the best players in the world for the past three years, and while he slowed a bit towards the end of 2019, his talent continues to be undeniable.

Nikola “Niko” Kovač

Role: Rifler

Team: FaZe

Total Kills: 24438

Overall number of covered maps: 1153

Niko is the most experienced CSGO player on this list with a 10-year career in the game. He is also one of the game’s most proficient players. His past achievements and awards are many, and he continued to perform as one of the best players in 2019. He has great accuracy, though his recent attempt at leading his team in-game has at times impacted his performance.

Ali “Jame” Dzhami

Role: Awper

Team: Virtus.pro

Total Kills: 13587

Overall number of covered maps: 709

He is a top fragger and the lead sniper at Virtus.pro, formerly playing under the AVANGAR banner. Jame has proven over the course of 2019 to be among the best players in the world. During the year’s events, he emerged as a leader for his team and a major reason for their breakthrough to the top. He is also one of the youngest players at the top of the scene, meaning he could continue to improve for some time to come.
