The International 2020 Battle Pass is coming soon, in one form or another. Fans of Dota 2 are excited over this fact for a multitude of reasons, but one of the most excited groups is Dota 2 artists.

Though the fate of the event itself is currently unknown, a tidal wave of new cosmetics has arrived on the Steam Workshop with creators hoping to be included in the battle pass. Creators have been taking to social media, particularly Reddit, in order to show off their work. Unsurprisingly, there are plenty of great submissions currently already under consideration.

Lina remains one of Dota 2’s most popular heroes, and the TI10 Call to Arms is no exception. A number of impressive new sets have been made, with SeeingTriangles’ Blazing Cosmos being the most striking. It comes with a number of different styles, including one that changes up Lina’s signature red hair:

Lina blazing cosmos

The Blazing Cosmos set isn’t the only one that pushes back against a popular hero’s norms. Earthshaker’s Chess Knight by SOLMIR goes in a different direction with the hero, getting away from his normal fuzzy look and instead decking him out with armor:

In the same vein is Seer of Infinity Space by Nobiru. The set decks out the immaculately sculpted blob that is Enigma and covers him in an elaborate robe. Though this is a unique look, and the detailing on it really suits the hero perfectly:

There are many more intriguing looks that can be found now on the Steam Workshop, including the Primordial Conservator set for Faceless Void. Fans are encouraged to give a thumbs up to any sets they’d like to see added to the game.

The International 2020 Battle Pass drops themes

There are loads of interesting sets out there and creators have had much more freedom to express themselves here than in years past. The International 2020 is set to break from recent conventions by dropping a single “theme” for the event.

2019 had an overgrown jungle theme, which was felt on all levels including the various cosmetics, the Wrath of the Mo’Rokai mini-game, and more. Before that were aquatic, desert, and cavern themes.

Why Valve chose to abandon themes is unclear, but it has made for a strong collection of potential cosmetics for the battle pass.
