League of Legend’s 9.3 patch notes are a love letter to ADCs, delivered just in time for Valentine’s Day.

ADCs have felt a little neglected in the current mea, and Riot has promised change. Riot is giving the ADCs in their life some crit item changes to help them cope with the burst damage carries now frequently run into.

Infinity Edge was reworked with an added extra 25 percent chance to critical strike. Zeal had its cost reduced by 100 gold.

Now that critical chances are more prevalent in the AD arsenal, Riot is also increasing bot laners’ defensive options. The Phantom Dancer item now has a burst damage shield to give ADCs a fighting chance against assassins and mages.

The Spear of Shojin is a new item that may further increase ADC survivability. This B. F. Sword item summons Awakened Dragon for six seconds after an ultimate is used. This grants increased health and speed, while also refunding 20 percent of the user’s basic ability cooldowns through any attack cast during those six seconds. While this is an item for ADCs, it seems like Riot may have a thing on the side for champions like Tryndamere and Master Yi who might also benefit from it.

The 9.3 patch further celebrates Valentine’s Day with Heartpiercer Fiora and Heartbreaker Vi holiday skins. Red and gold, these skins blend in perfectly with League’s older Valentine’s Day skins.

Other patch notes include the removal of Akali’s ability to hide from turrets during dives and prioritizing Camille as a top laner rather than a jungler by making her E no longer stun minions or monsters.
