As the release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor grows closer, more theories are coming up about the game’s story. Including whether the Grand Inquisitor is the main villain of the game or not.

Fans were surprised to see a man that resembles the Grand Inquisitor in the teaser trailer for Jedi: Survivor. The man is seen inside an office, it has the same white skin and redness on the face as the Grand Inquisitor. Fans were quick to speculate that it was the Grand Inquisitor itself, but unfortunately, it is not.

Through Star Wars official website, new images from the game were revealed. The one man that players believed to be the Grand Inquisitor is identified as an Imperial senator.

This senator might be part of the new batch of characters that are being introduced to the canon. Another big question for fans is the identity of the character inside the tank. Some of the theories point out Darth Momin, and others are Ren, the leader of the Knights of Ren. It could also be a new character.

As the game grows in popularity, it might be in the game’s interest to have its own set of characters that are not dependent on other parts of the canon. This popularity could lead not only to more games but also to a TV adaptation, and having the freedom to write these characters would be key to the development.

The Grand Inquisitor is not on Jedi: Survivor

While some fans have hopes for a cameo, it might not be possible. It has been confirmed that the game takes place in the year 9 BBY. What else takes place during this time? The Obi-Wan Kenobi TV series.

If the Grand Inquisitor doesn’t show up in Jedi: Survivor might be because he is busy hunting Obi-Wan Kenobi. In the TV series, the Grand Inquisitor travels to Tatooine with the Fifth Brother and Third Sister, following a lead about hidden Jedi on the planet.

The Grand Inquisitor is later betrayed by the Third Sister, who claims the title and wounds him. The Grand Inquisitor survives the attack and then gets revenge on the Third Sister, recovering once again his title.
