The best planets for your first outpost in Starfield

Starfield has thousands of planets, so it can be difficult to choose which one is right for your first outpost. But here are the best planets to choose for your first outpost.

Building a base is super important in Starfield. It’s where you’ll find resources and make a profit. You want to choose a planet with a lot of important resources to mine. Some of the most important ones early on are iron, aluminum, and helium-3.

The next thing to keep in mind when choosing a planet is to avoid ones with extreme environments. These planets are either extremely hot or extremely cold, depending on how far it is from their star. You’ll need the Planetary Habitation skill in the Science tree if you want to build outposts on planets with extreme conditions.

The best planets for outposts in Starfield

One of the best planets for outposts early on is Andraphon, located in the Narion system. This is actually a moon and has no real fauna or flora. Instead, it has a lot of resources that are great for someone beginning their space adventure. You’ll find aluminum, beryllium, europium, helium-3, and iron.

Another great planet to consider for your first outpost is Jemison. This planet, located in the Alpha Centauri System, is home to New Atlantis and is a great location for trading. On top of that useful component, you can also walk around without protection thanks to its safe atmosphere. Jemison has an abundance of argon, chlorine, chlorosilane, lead, and water.
