We are living in the internet era, with seemingly all the industries in the world migrating to this magical place.

The entertainment industry was among the first industries to shift their content to the World Wide Web.Luckily for us, this means that we can nowadays easily find various sorts of entertainment online, most of which are accessible with the simple tap of our fingers. A plethora of movies, mobile games, best New Zealand casinos, and vast expanse of various social media platforms are just waiting to be explored.

Streaming platforms

Streaming platforms have been a great source of entertainment for quite some time now. With more and more platforms regularly appearing on the market, movie and TV show lovers are really getting spoiled for choice.

What’s more, some of these platforms offer the opportunity to customize your subscriptions to perfectly match your budget, which means anyone can find something that will suit them. And the best part is that all of them are available on mobile as well, so you can easily consume your favorite content whenever you feel like it and wherever you are.

Online and mobile gaming

Online games have also been present on the market for a bit over four decades now. But the first-ever online games seem like they’re centuries away from the ones gamers can enjoy nowadays.

On top of that, not only did the games go online, but they also went mobile. More and more gaming companies are expanding their reach to the mobile audience as well, only furthering the entertainment opportunities for us.

Social media platforms

With 4.62 billion active social media users, it appears that almost everyone is present on these platforms. Not only do social media platforms offer the opportunity to connect and interact with people across the globe, but the content found on them can also be quite entertaining. What’s more, some people don’t use social media only for fun and games, but they’ve actually managed to establish themselves as a brand! How cool is that?

Naturally, none of this would be possible if it wasn’t for one key factor — the internet. So, the next time you turn on your PC or unlock your mobile device in search of some entertainment, make sure you thank Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the internet.
