Teamfight Tactics 9.14B nerfs assassins, buff sorcerors, and more
Teamfight Tactics has gotten another update following the release of patch 9.14. This one is 9.14B, and it brings further balance tweaks and bug fixes to the game.
Assassin and Elementalist are getting slight hits, while Wild and Sorcerer will receive some love to bring them more in line with other traits.
Beginning with Assassin, Riot Games is taking the tier-one critical strike damage bonus down from 150% to 125%. The tier-two bonus still sits at 350%. This is an early game nerf designed to prevent snowballing from a class known to be difficult to counter once it gets rolling.
Elementalist also sees its tanky Golem take a hit. The trait awards you with the pet character for having three or more Elemantalist units on the battlefield. It was one of the beefier units in the game with 2,500 HP, but today’s nerfs bring that number down to 2,200.
On the reverse side, Wild will get a slight buff by going from 8% added attack speed per attack to 10%. Sorcerers, meanwhile, see the inverse of the Assassin buff, gaining an extra ten bonus ability power at tier one.
We also saw minor changes for several champions. There’s a mix of upward and downward adjustments for nine different characters, including Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, Kennen, Mordekaiser, Poppy, Rengar, Tristana, and Volibear.
The most notable change came to Poppy, who receives an added 100 ability damage at level two and 200 at level three.
For items, Infinity Edge goes from 100% critical strike damage to 150%, Cursed Blade loses 5% from its chance to trigger its level-reducing ability, Locket of the Iron Solari goes from providing a 300 HP shield down to 200, and Morellonomicon now deals 5% of health as damage over time.
Riot also snuck in a handful of bug fixes, including a fix for Raptors that should make them produce loot more reliably.
Teamfight Tactics 9.14B is now available through the League of Legends client. Get used to these double-sided patches, as Riot says it will employ this dual-pronged update strategy from here on out. The
