Team SoloMid and Counter Logic Gaming will reportedly be swapping their supports.

According to ESPN’s Jacob WolfVincent “Biofrost” Wang and Andy “Smoothie” Ta will be switching teams for the upcoming LCS season. This comes as both organizations look to retool their rosters after failing to qualify for the 2019 League of Legends World Championship.

The news will likely be confirmed once free agency announcements begin on November 18.

Biofrost is returning to TSM after two years

Biofrost played for TSM during the 2016 and 2017 NA LCS seasons which saw TSM win three of the four seasonal splits, as well as Rift Rivals 2017 NA vs. EU. Biofrost played as Jason “WildTurtle” Tran’s support before leaving the organization following the 2017 LoL World Championship to join CLG.

The following two seasons weren’t particularly successful for any of the parties involved, with neither team qualifying for Worlds and Team Liquid taking over the LCS. Biofrost and TSM are undoubtedly hoping this reunion brings them back to the top of the scene.

Just like with any other team in LCS, CLG’s wishes are the same and the organization seems to believe Smoothie is a good support for the 2020 roster.

Smoothie to join CLG’s 2020 LCS roster

Before joining TSM this season, Smoothie played for Cloud9, Echo Fox, and more. Much like Biofrost, Smoothie competed at Worlds in both 2016 and 2017, but hasn’t been back since.

Following the 2018 LCS Spring Split, Smoothie was demoted to the C9 Academy team along with his duo partner Zachary “Sneaky” Scudery and mid laner Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen. He was acquired by Echo Fox in July that year but joined TSM just a few months after, where he has been playing since.
