Team Envy owner hints at Dota 2 entry
With the continuing success of the professional Dota 2 scene, esports organization Team Envy is looking to venture into the field.
Team Envy owner Mike “hastrO” Rufail expressed his interest in signing a Dota 2 team. After The International 2018’s great hype, the CEO took to Twitter to let Dota 2 professional players know that their organization is open for a proposal.
“The DotA community is not messing around here. Seems like you guys are really wanting to see more of your players find good homes. Thanks for the love. I hope we can help. Working on it from our end,” hastrO added.
Team EnVyUs, popularly known as Team Envy, is a prominent name in the professional Call of Duty and Counter-Strike esports scenes. The American esports organization was founded in 2007 and is based in Dallas, Texas.
The team has already had successes in different titles including Overwatch, Fortnite, League of Legends, and others. The multi-gaming organization has also signed academy rosters on several game titles.
The organization’s teams are popularly referred to as the “Boys in Blue”. The Dota 2 community may now bring another success story to the blue brand.
