The first Street Fighter 6 battle pass Early Summer Vibes has been delayed, developer Capcom has confirmed.
Street Fighter 6 is in full swing, with fans all over the globe enjoying a jam-packed world tour mode and competitive online multiplayer. Even with so much to explore, Capcom had plans to keep the content rolling, with the first battle pass set to release today, June 10, 2023. However, a last-minute delay has shelved the update.
The delay was announced through the official Street Fighter website in an outage info update. Simply titled “Delay of the Early Summer Vibes Fighting Pass,” the developer stated that the release would be postponed due to network instability. It did not elaborate on why this is interfering with the release schedule, but it must be serious to invoke such a delay.
Capcom did not announce a new release date for the first Street Fighter 6 battle pass, so that leaves fans wondering when it could finally be revealed.
With no official date announced, Street Fighter 6 fans are left to wonder about the release date of the battle pass. However, it’s likely that they won’t have to wait for long.
In the official statement, Capcom stated that the delayed release was due to network instability. This is likely related to the matchmaking issues that players have reported since release. It’s not clear if this is due to digital or physical problems, though it could also be the work of malicious players like those currently affecting competing fighter Guilty Gear Strive.
With Capcom publicly claiming the reason for the delay, it’s likely that the problem has already been identified. That means that the developer is probably already working on a fix. While there’s no set timeline for release, expect the Early Summer Vibes battle pass to release sometime next week starting June 11.
If Capcom wants to keep a Friday release date, June 16 would be the logical choice.
