Some information has finally been revealed about the long-awaited Stardew Valley Version 1.6 update.

Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone, the creator and developer behind Stardew Valley, announced in April that the farming simulator would be getting an update. Since then, it has been a bit silent as players continued to grow crops and pursue romantic relationships.

Now, ConcernedApe has shared some interesting insight into what fans can expect when Version 1.6 arrives.

What is coming in Stardew Valley Version 1.6?

ConcernedApe took to Twitter to share some cryptic yet promising updates on Version 1.6. This includes a new festival, new items, more dialogue options, and “secrets.”

A new festival is expected yet exciting news. Every year, Mayor Lewis sends a letter inviting players to come to an all-day festival. The town is closed and animals are automatically fed, allowing players to completely enjoy the festivities without worrying about their usual tasks.

While no information has been revealed, you can most likely expect some exclusive goodies and some interesting benefits when it comes to your relationships.

It’s unclear how large the update will be so it’s not currently known how much new dialogue will actually be in the game. Still, the promise of some new interactions is still quite exciting for long-time players.

Fans were beyond grateful for the update, with some voicing on Twitter that they thought Stardew Valley was finished while ConcernedApe worked on Haunted Chocolatier. Back in 2021, the developer announced a new simulator where players gather ingredients to make chocolate and also fight off enemies with a more in-depth combat system.

When is Version 1.6 coming to Stardew Valley?

No date has been given as of yet, but it seems like Version 1.6 is coming late 2023 or early 2024.
