Star Wars in Fortnite is back, with lightsabers, E-11 blasters, and a villainous miniboss gracing the game for the next several days as a part of Skywalker Week.
Fortnite has more IP crossovers with major universes and properties than most games could possibly hold, and one of those is back for a full week. Skywalker Week pays homage to the original Star Wars trilogy and brings back some fan-favorite mechanics from a galaxy far, far away.
The Skywalker Week Star Wars Fornite event will run from November 1 to November 8, 2022. The event brings with it new skins that fans can purchase as well as in-game events and loot for players to collect. Here’s everything coming to Fortnite for Skywalker Week, from cosmetics to gameplay.
There will be three new skins available through purchase through the store. Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Han Solo outfits are available in the Item Shop for the entirety of the event’s duration. All three are skins that depict the three iconic original Star Wars characters, each coming with three variants.
Luke has options that depict him in A New Hope and Return of the Jedi garb, including his hood-up depiction when visiting Jabba’s palace. Leia Organa’s options include her traditional noble garb, her attempt to impersonate Boushh at Jabba’s palace, and the Boushh outfit with her helmet removed. Finally, Han Solo has two versions of his classic look and a jacket-bearing look from Return of the Jedi’s time on Endor.
The Darth Vader miniboss that was regularly available earlier this year will be returning for Skywalker week. Where Darth Vader will land each match can be determined by following his Imperial Shuttle to where it lands, denoted by a red beacon. Visiting there, players can find Darth Vader, a hostile NPC and his Stormtrooper bodyguards, to be defeated for a quest and some sweet loot.
E-11 Blaster Rifles are also back, with the ammo-less weapons being a favourite of players for never having to scrounge ammo. At the same time, Luke’s Blue Lightsaber and Luke’s Green Lightsaber have been unvaulted, and Darth Vader’s Lightsaber is available only by killing the Sith lord in a lobby. The Junk Rift has also been unvaulted, but this version has a chance to drop Luke’s Landspeeder from the sky rather than random junk.
The full event details are available on the Fortnite V 22.30 patch notes.
