Shroud gets second surgery, still recovering from scooter injury
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive streamer Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek recently announced a second surgery on his left elbow after a scooter accident on March 11.
Shroud’s latest surgery involved inserting a plate into his elbow, which will have him in a cast and sling for the next few months during recovery.
“Well, surgery is done and my arm hurts like hell. I won’t be streaming for a while, that’s for sure. Sorry doodles,” Shroud said on Twitter.
Shroud has been appearing on stream to talk since the accident, but has yet to play any CS:GO or other similar games for his loyal fans.
On March 11, Shroud posted a cryptic tweet that told his fans to “blame the scooter” for his absence from streaming that day.
“For everyone wondering, he’s okay. We’re at the ER now,” roommate Justin “Just9n” Ortiz said to his followers.
Signing into Shroud’s Twitch channel, Just9n explaind that Shroud had “hit the brakes hard” while riding his scooter, which made him fly over the handlebars and onto the asphalt below. The popular gamer unfortunately landed on his left arm in an effort protect his right arm and the rest of his body, which resulted in a torn ligament and a piece of bone being forcibly removed from his elbow.
“Nobody believed me when I said scooters were dangerous!” said fellow streamer Jaryd “Summit1g” Lazar.
