Team Liquid has officially confirmed that Richard “shox” Papillon is on its starting Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster.

Team Liquid announced the news on Twitter, calling the French veteran CSGO pro a legend. The tweet came with a short video hyping up the roster news, showing some exciting gameplay highlights. Team Liquid called it a “new chapter” for the org’s CSGO team.

Team Liquid has been making waves in the CSGO scene during the holiday season with multiple big roster moves. The iconic team recently acquired AWPer Joshua “oSee” Ohm, a North American player that shined while playing for Extra Salt. oSee is known for his incredible sniping skills.

Who is shox in CSGO?

shox has been a big name in the French CSGO scene for years, playing for teams including G2 Esports and Team EnVyUs. During his time competing in Europe, shox won the DreamHack Winter 2014 Major with Team LDLC and a number of other prominent events. He most recently played for Team Vitality.

shox has never played outside of the French CSGO scene. Watching him compete with Team Liquid in the North American scene is definitely an exciting prospect for CSGO fans.

“Hyped to start this new adventure, one of the biggest and exciting challenges of my life. I will do everything needed to make it a success,” shox told fans on Twitter.

What is Team Liquid’s CSGO roster for 2022?

The CSGO community was shocked when Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, Jake “Stewie2K” Yip, and Michael “Grim” Wince moved to Team Liquid’s inactive roster. The trio had been a dominant force in the Counter-Strike scene despite less than stellar tournament results in recent years.

shox joins oSee and Keith “NAF” Markovic on Team Liquid’s starting roster going into the 2022 CSGO season. It’s heavily rumored that Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski will be making a return to Team Liquid next year as well. Previous rumors have suggested that Team Liquid’s roster will be completed with the return of former captain Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella.
