The Elden Beast is the true final boss of Elden Ring, and the reward is definitely fitting for an Elden Lord. The Elden Remembrance creates an incredible pair of weapons in the Sacred Relic Sword and Marika’s Hammer.

The former has reached iconic status in the Elden Ring fandom for its powerful ability and incredible soul farming potential. Here’s how to farm an insane amount of runes with the Sacred Relic Sword in Elden Ring.

The Sacred Relic Sword is an amazing faith dexterity weapon

The Sacred Relic Sword is a greatsword that requires 14 strength, 24 dexterity, and 22 faith to wield. It has great scaling, with a B in dexterity and a C in faith at higher upgrade levels. It deals inherent holy damage with an above-average 110 critical hit multiplier. The Sacred Relic Sword also boasts an incredible weapon skill in Wave of Gold, which is key to the best rune farm in Elden Ring.

Using the Sacred Relic Sword for PvE is mostly a bygone effort. The only way to acquire it is to defeat the Elden Beast, which is the very last boss battle in the game. It can be used in New Game+ runs or by transferring it to another save file. In those cases, the high faith scaling makes it a great weapon for a dedicated faith and dexterity build.

While solid in most fights, it truly excels at acquiring a ton of levels and money extremely quickly.

How to farm runes with the Sacred Relic Sword

Acquiring the Sacred Relic Sword is the first step towards the absolutely best rune farm in all of Elden Ring.

To access this area, players will need to activate the Grand Lift of Rold by acquiring both halves of the Rold Medallion. One is located in the Village of the Albinaurics and the other is found in Castle Sol. Head to the Consecrated Snowfield and find a portal on the west ledge to teleport to Mohg’s area. It’s also possible to get here via Varre’s invasion questline.

Locate the Palace Approach Ledge-Road grace with the Sacred Relic Sword in tow and get ready to farm an incredible amount of runes.

Right next to the Site of Grace is a group of sleeping Albinaurics. Face them and start the Sacred Relic Sword weapon skill, then release. The resulting shock of golden light should kill all of them instantly. This method instantly grants over 40,000 runes in less than 15 seconds with the right setup. Use rune-boosters like the Golden Scarab or Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot to further increase the gains.

Players don’t actually need the Sacred Relic Sword to farm this spot, and can technically use any given weapon to work their way through all the Albinaurics. The sword is just the most efficient way of doing this.
