A small but significant detail in Grand Theft Auto Online has caught the attention of eagle-eyed players, suggesting that Rockstar may be introducing GTA 6 content in GTA 5 DLCs.

After the massive GTA 6 leak in 2022, Rockstar has remained tight-lipped about its upcoming cash cow, holding back on teasers and trailers. So far, there has only been one trailer for GTA 6, which showcases a modern take on Vice City with a Bonnie and Clyde storyline. However, players continue to grasp on straws in an effort to find clues about GTA 6.

While most efforts have been in vain or are a long shot, this new find by a keen-eyed player suggests Rockstar may be soft-launching some of GTA 6’s elements into GTA 5.

Is Rockstar backporting GTA 6 assets?

It’s tough to tell. So far, only a few cars and a necklace have been spotted that match assets spotted in GTA 6 trailer. This does not mean Rockstar is backporting.

On June 2, a Redditor named DogWifDreads posted a screenshot of Lucia on a cruise and compared it with his female player model in GTA 5. Both look completely different but share the exact same item of jewelry. Lucia is wearing the silver two-tier chain worn by the player model in GTA 5. Even the tiny charms on both necklaces are the same.

This jewelry was added to GTA 5 in the Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC, released on June 25. While it’s not exactly a crazy clue, it suggests that Rockstar is testing GTA 6 assets in GTA V. This means that GTA 6 may have many familiar assets, clothing items, and cars for those who have completed GTA 5.

With speculations that Bottom Dollar Bounties may be the last major DLC for GTA 5, this clue further proves that GTA 6 is closer than ever.
