Deadlock is set to introduce a ranked play, but players should be prepared for some different restrictions.
As the game continues to grow its player base on Steam, Valve is rolling out significant updates, including this eagerly awaited competitive mode.
However, the new ranked system comes with specific requirements and restrictions
that players must navigate.
To participate in ranked play, players must first complete at least 50 unranked matches
on their accounts. This prerequisite
ensures that only experienced players can compete in the ranked
environment.
Deadlock Ranked mode is officially launching on October 15 at 8 PM GMT,
marking a significant milestone for Deadlock’s competitive scene.
Players should also note that Deadlock ranked matches can only be played during designated time slots.
The available hours are
limited to 1 PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 10 PM in local time zones.
This restriction means that
players cannot grind continuously, requiring them to strategize their gaming sessions.
Key features of Ranked play
Solo Queue only
Players can only enter ranked matches solo,
meaning no duo, trio, or squad formations are allowed at this time.
This may change in future updates,
but for now, players must rely solely on their individual skills.
Rank Structure
There are 11 tiers in the ranking system, each containing six levels.
This setup suggests a long journey through ranks, especially after initial placements.
Weekly updates
To have their rank changed, players need to compete in a minimum of seven ranked games during that week.
While there is no upper limit on the number of games that can be played,
players must plan their sessions accordingly to meet the weekly requirement.
Behavior restrictions
Currently, there are no behavior-related restrictions imposed on players,
allowing for more freedom during gameplay.
As Deadlock’s ranked mode opens, players are encouraged to adapt to these unique conditions. The addition of ranked play is a promising step for the game, providing a structured competitive environment that players have been eagerly awaiting. As players engage with this new feature, feedback and updates are likely to emerge, shaping the future of ranked play in Deadlock.
