A new dev blog for Teamfight Tactics has arrived with a ton of new updates, as well as a potential new Caitlyn model update for LoL that was discovered.

In the dev blog with a strict focus on TFT, some attentive viewers noticed that Caitlyn was showcased with a new model that could potentially make its way to League of Legends as well. An update to Caitlyn’s in-game model has been wanted for a long time, so this might be Riot’s way to tease what is coming up in the future.

In the dev blog, a small glimpse of Caitlyn was provided in TFT where she looked different than usual. In this preview, Caitlyn had a model that looked similar to what she has in Wild Rift and the card game Legends of Runeterra. The similarities are clear and quickly got fans to speculate if this model is something that will ultimately hit all Riot titles where Caitlyn is present.

Is Caitlyn getting a new League of Legends model update?

The first real teaser for Caitlyn’s potential model update was given in a Legends of Runeterra trailer which announced Caitlyn as the game’s newest champion last month. This trailer had Caitlyn appear with a new look compared to what players are accustomed to in League of Legends.

This new look had fans demanding a new Caitlyn model on various social media, as this new look was clearly more appealing to the audience and seemed to fit Caitlyn’s theme better. As one of the oldest champions in the game, Caitlyn is currently a bit outdated and it would only make sense that Riot is looking to bring a newly modernized look to the bot lane carry.

What some are considering a teaser in the TFT dev blog could be the first real indicator that Riot has something in store and that Caitlyn might receive visual updates sooner rather than later.

Over the past few years, Riot has consistently updated some of its older champions both visually and in terms of gameplay. If Caitlyn is one of the next updates in line, players should expect more detailed information about it in the upcoming months.
