Imane “Pokimane” Anys received her first-ever Twitch ban for streaming Avatar: Last Air Bender to thousands of viewers. But Pokimane isn’t upset about the outcome.

Pokimane took to Twitter to open up a bit more about the situation with her fans. According to Pokimane, the suspension was not unfair and was, in fact, “inevitable.” The popular Twitch personality added that she would elaborate on the suspension Monday, reassuring followers that she is “not surprised.”

Since Pokimane’s ban, political streamer Hasan “HasanAbi” Piker has lamented the death of the MasterChef meta due to a copyright takedown notice from The Fox Network. But Felix “xQc” Lenyel is not deterred and believes that the controversial meta can continue, at least for him thanks to a secret conversation with people working at the networks.

But Pokimane’s tweet shines light on the reason many streamers have been frustrated with the ongoing meta. Many feel as though the meta is purposefully pushing the limits of Twitch, which will eventually lead the streaming platform to react with something catastrophic, like another “adpocalypse.” The fact that Pokimane is well aware that she is antagonizing Twitch is a source of concern for many in the streaming community.

“People always forget about smaller creators too, when bigger creators push the limits. When the adpocalypse happened on Youtube it was the smaller channels that got ruined by it. Same thing will happen here if it keeps going; big channels will live but smaller ones get fucked,” Sean “Jacksepticeye” McLoughlin explained on Twitter.

Pokimane will speak about the situation Monday but the streaming community is already adamant that the MasterChef meta should end once and for all.
