Niantic has officially revealed Mankey as the featured Pokémon for the November 2024 Community Day in Pokémon GO. Although Mankey might not be the most thrilling choice at first glance, this event brings a major twist. Primeape and its evolved form, Annihilape, will gain access to the newly introduced charged move, Rage Fist. This addition could significantly shake up Pokémon GO’s current battle landscape, making this Community Day one to remember.
On November 10, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time, trainers will encounter Mankey in abundance. The limited time of November community day is appropriately lined with others. The real excitement, however, comes from evolving Mankey into Primeape and then Annihilape. By doing so during the event (or up to five hours afterward), players will unlock the exclusive move Rage Fist for both evolutions.
This move could potentially shift the balance of power in battles. Primeape, long overlooked by many, now has the opportunity to shine alongside Annihilape, a fan favorite that had fallen out of favor due to recent changes in the game’s mechanics.
Following Niantic’s update that weakened the move “Counter,” many Fighting-type Pokémon, including Annihilape, saw reduced effectiveness in battles. However, with the introduction of Rage Fist, Annihilape might be making a comeback. Trainers are eager to see how this new move will perform in PvP combat. To question remains… can it restore Annihilape’s former glory in the Pokémon GO Battle League?
Beyond the chance to unlock Rage Fist, November Community Day is packed with bonuses. Trainers will enjoy triple XP, double candy for catching Pokémon, and the highly sought-after XL Candy, making a return. Evolution conditions will also be relaxed for Annihilape, requiring only 20 Fighting-type Pokémon catches with Primeape as your buddy.
With these rewards and the potential game-changer that is Rage Fist, the November Community Day promises to deliver both for casual players and battle enthusiasts alike.
