Pokemon Go Announces Halloween 2024 Event Part 1
It’s October, which means that gaming projects are rolling out their Halloween experiences for fans. Naturally, these have a scary edge to them and try to get fans into the spooky spirit.
One of the latest of these comes from Pokemon Go, which has announced its 2024 edition, featuring tons of adventure and even new characters.
What Character is in Pokemon Go Halloween 2024?
Pokemon Go’s Halloween event in 2024 will see the debut of Galar rodent creature, Morpeko.
With this character will come two different featured attack modes. The first is Full Belly Mode which is further heightened by its Electric-type Charged Attack Aura Wheel, increasing the attack by one stage with 100 power. The other attack mode is Hangry and this is improved by its Dark-type Charged Attack Aura Wheel, increasing by one stage.
Part 1 of the event will begin on October 22 and will last until October 28. During the event, players get several bonuses, including double candy for catching Pokemon, higher chances of XL candy for trainers level 31 and up after catches with Nice Throws, and more chances to find Shiny Umbreon in raids and Shiny Zorua in the wild.
Players looking to score new items can head on over to the office store where items focused on Halloween, Woobat, and Morpeko will be available. Over a dozen Pokemon will spawn during the Halloween event and all but Greavard will be available in their shiny forms. One and Three-star raids will see change and all the Pokemon attached to them can spawn in their shiny forms.
Then there are Research quests. A Free Time Research quest will be held during the Halloween event and successful players will get to encounter Pokemon spirits like Spiritiomb. Two Paid Time Research Quests will be held and interested players need to sign up before November 2.
Sign-up costs $5 and $2 respectively and comes with a plethora of costumes and upgrades, including 3 X candy for the $5 tier. An Event-themed Field Research will also be available and will give trainers the chance to encounter Pokemon such as Sableye and Golett.
