An Overwatch Contenders player is being accused of sexual misconduct.

Twitter user @pwk_ow accused recently signed Meta Skyfoxes flex player Tae-in “FR3E” Yoon of stripping her and touching her as she was sleeping, per multiple translations of the tweets. She went on to post screenshots of a Facebook Messenger conversation between herself and FR3E where she accuses him of touching her. FR3E responds by saying “sorry.”

The alleged victim states that she was a minor at the time of the incident. FR3E is 19 years old. It is unclear what their relationship is with one another. FR3E has not made a public statement.

The Meta Skyfoxes issued a brief statement a few hours after the accusations were made.

“We are aware of the ongoing situation and are moving to handle it internally. An official update can be expected on our social channels later today,” the organization said.

FR3E debuted in professional Overwatch in 2017 with LW Red, a South Korean team that produced a number of season one Overwatch League players. He became a regular participant in Overwatch Contenders starting in 2018 where he played with Seven. He most recently played for GC Busan WAVE.

The accusations came shortly after Meta Skyfoxes announced FR3E’s signing.

Competitive Overwatch has been at the center of a number of sexual misconduct stories in the last few years. In 2017, NRG Esports staff member and San Francisco Shock team manager Max Bateman was fired after a content creator for the organization accused him of drugging and sexually assaulting her. Several months later, Boston Uprising player Jonathan “DreamKazper” Sanchez was released from the organization after allegedly soliciting naked pictures from a 14-year-old fan.

Meta Skyfoxes most recently competed in the Overwatch Contenders North America West division, coming in third place during the first season. The team has since switched to the North America East division, which returns to action at the start of Overwatch Contenders 2019 Season 2 on June 19.

It is unknown if FR3E is facing any sort of police investigation over the allegations.
