The new mysterious Void jungler coming to League of Legends seems to have been leaked ahead of her official announcement, with footage of a champion named Bel’Veth appearing online.

The new Void jungler has been revealed to be the Empress of the Void in a recent Champion Roadmap. Now, new video showing a two-form champion that matches snippets of splash art and descriptions of her abilities seems to have leaked ahead of her release. Bel’Veth would be a unique skirmishing jungler with the ability to “overwhelm” enemies, according to Riot.

New footage claims to show new champion Bel’Veth

The new footage shows what appears to be new champion Bel’Veth recalling from mid lane in two different forms. One is a pale woman with a flowing black and gold dress and a tail in the same colors. Her dress is oddly shaped and flows in strange directions, hinting that something isn’t quite as it seems with the otherworldly empress.

The second portion of the video shows the Void empress transformed into her true and more terrifying form. As she recalls with the dress, the sides reveal themselves to be enormous wings. According to YouTuber Ryscu, the second portion of the video shows her having changed into her true form after using her ultimate. Bel’Veth becomes a Void monstrosity similar to a bat or manta ray, her human head disappearing to reveal that the amorphous dress was Bel’Veth’s true form the entire time.

This two-form reveal is a great way to sell both the alluring and horrifying aspects of this extraplanar threat. Everything that appears in the video lines up with the descriptions of the Void’s ruling being, so while the leaks remain unconfirmed, they seem likely to be true. Bel’Veth is expected to be introduced alongside a Void invasion world event for League of Legends similar to the previous Ruination event. The Void invasion is expected to begin in the late summer or early fall of 2022.
