Onlyfangs has once again hit a snag as fan-favorite Brandon “Burn” Johnson has been banned from the platform.
From its initial surprise return to Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp showing off his skills, Twitch watchers have been loving the return of Onlyfangs. It’s a chance to see dozens of streamers band together, prompting surprise crossovers and collaborations. However, it also encouraged streamers to see just how much they can get away with. In the case of Burn, it seems that some humorous attempts at ERP crossed the line among Twitch staff.
Here’s the hilarious reason why Burn is banned on Twitch and some background information behind his absurd gag.
Burn explained that performing ERP on Azeroth is why he was banned on Twitch.
The exact incident is not clear, but fans believe it was due to a scene steamed by fellow Onlyfangs member Thomas “Sodapoppin” Morris IV. The streamer walked in on Burn getting saucy with another player in a Jamaican accent.
“It be like a popsicle… Not the only thing that big! I bet you feeling the mojo on this magic carpet ride! Oh, keep sucking on the nose! Yeah, mon,” said Burn.
Burn appeared to reference this salacious scene in a social media post shortly following the ban. Fans claim that the ban is only for seven days, and Burn will still be allowed to play World of Warcraft during that time. However, under Twitch’s rules, appearing on another streamer’s channel could result in them getting banned as well.
In WoW, ERP is an acronym for “erotic roleplay” where two players act out salacious deeds through in-game communication.
Certain sections of the Worlds of Warcraft community are dedicated to roleplaying, where the players behind the screen act out as their characters. This ranges from simply talking with an accent to making gameplay decisions that reflect their character.
Not all RP, however, is ERP. A smaller section of the community dedicates their time to erotic roleplay, which can involve sending explicit messages or performing in-game actions meant to convey sexual intent. Such content can sometimes violate Twitch’s terms of service, but its enforcement may vary.
