After opening cases and giving League of Legends a shot, streamer OhnePixel is stepping into another unexplored territory of CS2 esports with a brand new lineup.
OhnePixel is known for his case openings and occasional beef with Counter-Strike 2 developer Valve, which is likely just banter since he’s one of the most famed streamers in CS2. When OhnePixel played League of Legends, it was met with mostly negative reactions from his fanbase, who always associated him with Valve’s shooter.
Now, he’s returned to his roots, announcing a full-fledged roster for the upcoming CS2 Shanghai Major. On X, OhnePixel posted the full lineup, which will be led by in-game-leader Woro. The streamer himself will coach the team for online major qualifiers starting on August 21.
OhnePixel’s CS2 team has many notable names, including Volodymyr “Woro2k” Veletnjuk and Ali “hAdji” HaĂŻnous.
Here’s the full lineup:
Since entry into majors is barred for outsiders or newer teams, OhnePixel will have to take a shot through Asian open qualifiers. His core does qualify to compete in the Asia region since he has three players with roots outside of North America, Europe, and South America. This means, OhnePixel and his roster has a real shot at competing and winning the major.
For now, it’s unknown whether it’s all real or a joke. However, he has a lineup that looks quite believable for it to be a joke. All eyes will be set on Woro2k, who has a commendable history as CS2 IGL. He has previously played for Monte, MAD LIONS, and more.
The full lineup will debut at the major qualifiers in August. It’s currently unknown whether this is a long-term setup or a temporary team put together merely for CS2 Shanghai Major.
