OfflineTV Valorant Invitational reveals its winners
OfflineTV revealed the winners of the group’s SoloQ Valorant Invitational.
The event, hosted by DisguisedToast, was played across three dates. It consisted of 30 players divided into five tiers with six players per tier. Teams included one player from each tier, and the teams were shuffled after each round.
Day one and two, the teams played five round-robin games. Players got points based on match wins, round wins, and kills. The top two players from each round advanced to the best-of-three final on day three.
While most of the event followed the standard Valorant rules, the organizers added casual elements to keep the days interesting. Twitch Chat had the ability to vote for the maps, and their selections were used in the games being played simultaneously.
Round one and 13 in all matches were knives only. The production team removed money from the teams after each Knives round. On the final day of the event, Twitch Chat voted for the third and final map.
The event featured creators like QuarterJade, Valkyrae and several professional players like Tyson “TenZ” Ngo and Tarik “tarik” Celik.
Who won the OfflineTV SoloQ Valorant Invitational?
After three days of competition, there is a winning team consisting of:
- 100 Thieves Matthew “Cryocells” Panganiban (Pro)
- Danny “Shiphtur” Lee (Immortal)
- Tenzin “TrulyTenzin” Dolkar (Ascendant)
- Ludwig Ahgren (Platinum – Diamond)
- William “Scarra” Li (Silver – Gold)
Cryocells ended up being the player with the most round wins, match wins, and kills in the entire event.
As a prize, all five winners received a custom-made Oni Katana. This Katana is part of the Oni 2.0 skin bundle released back in March. At the time of its release, the bundle was criticized because of the lack of melee.
The event was a success and we can expect more events like this from OfflineTV in the near future.
