An innocent question from pop sensation Lady Gaga turned into some spicy back and forth over Tyler “Ninja” Blevins’ decision to not stream with women.

As Fortnite became the main topic of discussion online following its disappearance leading up to Chapter 2’s release, Lady Gaga took to Twitter to ask what Fortnite even was. While it’s unclear if she was serious or not, famous Fortnite phenomenon Ninja decided to fill her in.

“Call me on the Telephone. I’ll give you a Million Reasons to play. You and I,” he cleverly tweeted back.

“Ninja, who are you?” Lady Gaga responded.

Although the exchange was innocent enough, it quickly took a dramatic turn when Twitch streamer Kaceytron decided to explain who Ninja was to the music artist.

“He’s one of the most popular streamers on the internet and he doesn’t support women as he has publicly announced he will never duo stream with any woman, I guess unless it benefits him,” Kaceytron said.

Kaceytron’s remark was in reference to Ninja’s 2018 interview with Polygon, where the streamer explained why he won’t play with female gamers on stream.

“If I have one conversation with one female streamer where we’re playing with one another, and even if there’s a hint of flirting, that is going to be taken and going to be put on every single video and be clickbait forever,” Ninja said.

According to Ninja, the only way to avoid the drama was to “not play with [girls] at all.”

Kaceytron’s definition of Ninja was immediately riled up his fanbase. Many told her that he had learned from his past mistakes, while others straight up told her to delete her thread. They came to his defense so quickly that she decided to fire off some more tweets.

“I am being attacked by Ninja fanboys for stating the truth that he won’t stream with women, unless it benefits him. It was and still is a shitty decision that he hasn’t retracted. It alienates women and I’d hate to see Lady Gaga stream with him,” Kaceytron said.

When the backlash didn’t stop, Kaceytron decided to spit back at the fans again, this time also bashing Ninja’s wife.

“12 year olds I KNOW, he does it ‘out of respect’ for his wife… that is so NOBLE of him to admit that his marriage is so fragile and his wife is apparently so insecure that a tabloid of him playing games from across the world with A GIRL could ruin his marriage. GIRLS ARE GROSS,” she tweeted.

Ninja responds to Kaceytron’s Twitter attack

Ninja finally saw the barrage of comments and decided to respond himself.

“I have literally played squads with multiple women after that article over the last year and a half as well as hosted MANY female streamers. I will continue to support everyone in gaming while you get baked on stream,” Ninja tweeted back.

But it didn’t seem like Kaceytron was done tearing into the popular streamer. She shot back that the Red Bull he “peddles to his young fans” kills more people than marijuana. At this point, Ninja’s fans told Kaceytron to “take the L.”

Later in the day, Kaceytron appeared to regret her harsh words towards Ninja. Or maybe the backlash was just a bit too much. With over 5 million Twitter followers, Ninja has a lot of fans that seem ready to argue on his behalf.

Kaceytron backs down as Ninja’s fans continue to respond

“I’d like to apologize to Ninja,” Kaceytron tweeted. “We have been colleagues for many of years now and we’ve always had a very playful friendship. I didn’t mean anything by it. I am taking off streaming for today to seriously reconsider my actions. I will never high tweet again after this tweet.”

This apology didn’t seem to sit well with Ninja’s fans, who continued to mock the streamer. Ninja’s supporters included YouTube drama sensation Keemstar, who replied “W” to one of Ninja’s replies to Kaceytron.

Keemstar’s entrance into the fray was taken a bit differently, even after things had largely calmed down.

“Keemstar, I’m less hated than you and I’m a titty streamer on Twitch… That’s saying a lot,” Kaceytron responded. “Shouldn’t you be screaming racist profanity and ruining people’s lives with your shitty ‘reporting?’ It was all fun and games with Ninja and the 12 year olds but you’re actually despicable.”

It doesn’t seem like Kaceytron is completely done arguing her position just yet. But her newer comments just seemed to ruffle feathers once again. Ninja’s fans accused her of responding further to Keemstar just to get attention.

No matter whose side you’re on, one thing remains clear: Lady Gaga most likely won’t want to stream with Ninja after this dramatic Twitter beef blew up in front of her.
