New Valorant bundle Protocol 781-A has skins talking
Jan 7, 2022
Prepare your wallets! A new gun bundle has just dropped for Valorant, and it brings talking skins to Valorant for the first time.
Riot Games has rolled out some upbeat and vivid skin bundles recently. Fans of minimal and darkly-themed weapons have long requested a Phantom upgrade after the Ruination bundle. The latest Valorant line is unlike any other. The dystopian guns have a robotic aesthetic and a voice-over for inspecting elements.
As is evident from its name, Protocol 781-A is a high-tech bundle with a sci-fi touch. Valorant players had high expectations from Riot for the new episode’s latest bundle, and Protocol 781-A seems to fulfill those expectations. The sleek guns have special effects and a mechanical feel to them. A red lightning tube can be seen throughput each body, which might be a nod to the game’s newest agent, Neon. Bullets are also glistening in red colors, adding a mysterious and fiery touch to the dark collection.
New Valorant skins have a female voice
The most notable part of the skin line is their voice element. A custom male voice for inspect animation and various other triggers in-game have been added to the new bundle. At level 5, players can unlock female voice animation on the green and pink variants. Currently, no other skin in Valorant has this feature, which may explain the hefty price tag. There are approximately 60 unique voice lines that should make Valorant all the more interesting to play. The voice is “visualized” through the in-game interface when the weapon talks to you.
Protocol 781-A skins come for:
- Protocol 781-A Phantom
- Protocol 781-A Spectre
- Protocol 781-A Bulldog
- Protocol 781-A Sheriff
The bundle also includes a new gun buddy, card, and a special spray.
How much does Protocol 781-A cost?
The entire bundle costs 9,900 Valorant points, landing it in the Ultra Exclusive tier. The weapon voice-over unlocks at level five. So after spending 9,900 VP, players must pay around 80 more Radianite points to get their skins to talk. The guns will also have their own finisher, transformations, animations, visual effects, and three variants. Protocol 781-A comes in grey, red, and green variant.
- Level 1 – New gun model; custom ADS reticle; custom bullets
- Level 2 – Custom muzzle flash visual effects and firing audio
- Level 3 – Custom animations and visual effects during equip, reload, and inspect; weapon “transforms” during equip, reload, and inspect
- Level 4 – Finisher and Kill Banner
- Level 5 – Custom male voice-over for inspect animation and various other triggers that occur in-game.
When is Protocol 781-A releasing?
Protocol 781-A will be released on January 12 as part of Episode 4 Act 1. New agent Neon will also enter the protocol along with the new gun bundle and battle pass.
