New Valorant bundle Prelude to Chaos is a mechanical nightmare
Valorant and Doom fans can express their love for both games with the newly-leaked Prelude to Chaos bundle.
The newest Valorant set will add some demonic flair to Riot Games’ tactical shooter. Prelude to Chaos guns are mechanically complicated with flashy reload animations and special effects that highlight the final kill. The set includes skins for fan-favorite guns such as the OP and Vandal, along with a gigantic sword for a melee weapon.
The leaks are courtesy of the famous Valorant leaker ValorLeaks. The reputed leaker showed in-game gameplay for some of the skins along with the Prelude to Chaos splash art. Almost all of ValorLeak’s skin previews have turned out to be correct, but the Prelude to Chaos leak is still missing some key information like release date and price.
Here are all the weapons included in the Prelude to Chaos Valorant bundle.
- Bulldog
- Melee
- Operator
- Shorty
- Vandal
Prelude to Chaos Valorant bundle looks like Doom weapons
The first thing players will notice about the Prelude to Chaos skins is their mechanical complexity. These skins are covered in lights and mechanical fittings that react to every shot and reload. The Operator reload animation is the most distinct, with some kind of dark orb emerging from the gun to recharge its lethality. Each gun has its own energy ball that emits a bright light. The base color for the skin set is purple and black, but alternates could include green and blue particle effects.
It’s easy to draw comparisons between the Prelude to Chaos Valorant bundle and the weapons from the new Doom series. Those games often feature complex reload animations, as well as mechanical and futuristic weapons. The melee is the clearest nod to Doom, bearing a significant resemblance to Doom Eternal’s Crucible sword.
Release date and price of Valorant Prelude to Chaos
The Prelude to Chaos leak did not come with a release date, but it’s fair to say that it should come out sometime early in Episode 5. A rough release date prediction is late June or July 2022. ValorLeaks general only reveals skins a few weeks out from launch, so the Prelude to Chaos bundle can’t be that far away.
As for price, Prelude to Chaos’s custom reload animation and complex model likely point to the Exclusive tier at 9,900 VP for the entire bundle. Individual skins should become available for 2,475 VP. Of course, the only way to know for sure the release date and price for Prelude to Chaos is to wait for official information from Riot Games.
