Pokemon revealed more details about the new show and its main characters, Liko and Roy.

In December 2022, Pokemon surprised the audience by announcing that Ash Ketchum would no longer be the protagonist of the TV show. The announcement came after Ash fulfilled his dream of becoming a Pokemon World Champion. At the time, Pokemon also revealed Liko and Roy, the two new characters that would take over.

Now, we know more about the duo as they take on their journey through Paldea.

Liko is “the girl with the awe-inspiring pendant,” and her introduction quote is, “I won’t find anything unless I look for it myself”. Liko’s companion is Sprigatito, the Grass-type starter from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Roy is “the boy with the mysterious Poke Ball,” and his quote is, “I want to challenge the Pokemon from the legends”. Roy’s companion is Fuecoco, the Fire-type starter from Paldea. It is unclear what will happen to Quaxly, the Water-type starter. It is shown in the promotional images on the side, not directly linked to one of the protagonists.

The trailer also showed Friede and Captain Pikachu, who were announced previously. We can confirm now that Friede is a Pokemon Professor and trainer of a Charizard.

Liko and Roy’s story is described as a world filled with mysteries and wonders.

New Pokemon show release date

The main question about the new Pokemon show is the release date. Ash’s final arc in the anime is still ongoing and will be completed on March 24.

Based on Pokemon’s schedule since 1997, we speculated that the show could come out on March 31, one week after the end of the current show. Pokemon confirmed the release date, and it will be April 14, 2023.

It will mark the first time in 25 years that Pokemon doesn’t premier a new episode for more than two weeks.

All shiny Pokémon available in Pokémon GO in 2026 Zachary Roberts Getting a shiny Pokémon in Pokémon GO is an absolute treat. It's not as easy to hunt certain things on that game as it is on something like Legends: Z-A or Scarlet and Violet, but you can endlessly play by walking around. The shiny odds are much higher, too. At 1/512 base odds, it's much more likely than in a mainline game, where the odds are 1/4096. If you're interested ...

Additionally, it's a real Game of the Year contender. Yet, early sales reports indicate that the two are selling very similarly. FireRed ...
