After months of speculation, Chinese organization Four Angry Men has finally revealed its star-studded Dota 2 roster. The organization best known for its PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds team has been at the center of rumors since announcing its plans to expand into Dota 2 in early June.

The roster includes former Vici Gaming players Zhang “Eurus” Chengjun and Zhou “Yang” Haiyang, former PSG.LGD captain Xu “fy” Linsen and mid laner Lu “Somnus” Yao, and Sparking Arrow Gaming support Ru “RedPanda” Zhihao.

4AM’s lineup will be coached by Chinese veteran and former Vici Gaming coach Bai “rOtK” Fan.

The news comes a little over a week after fy revealed on his Huya stream that the team had already signed Somnus, Yang, and himself, while Eurus’s and RedPanda’s contracts were still being negotiated.

4AM is the latest Chinese Dota 2 all-star team

The Chinese Dota 2 scene has a long history of yielding super-teams such as 4AM. The most successful in this regard is the 2014 iteration of Newbee that brought together star players from LGD Gaming, Team DK, and TongFu in a roster that eventually won The International 2014.

4AM’s current lineup is no different, as it consists of some of the most celebrated and talented players the Chinese scene has to offer, all of whom have yet to claim the Aegis of Champions. With team captain fy slowly approaching the autumn of his professional career, this could be his best chance to win TI after finishing in second place two times, once with Vici Gaming in 2014 and with PSG.LGD in 2018.

With such a star-studded cast, 4AM have emerged as one of the premier teams and biggest TI hopefuls in the current competitive landscape. It remains to be seen how the team will mesh together, but if all goes well, 4AM might end up giving Team Secret a run for its money.
