There are new Arcana skins coming to League of Legends, bringing the fan-favorite red magical tint to a slew of new champions including Ahri, Xayah, and Rakan.

New Arcana skins have been announced by Riot Games, bringing the tarot-inspired skin line to a number of champions. New skins have been announced for Ahri, Xayah, Rakan, Ryze, and Hecarim. Each one has flashy new visual effects and a striking recall where they star in a unique tarot card. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Arcana skins in League of Legends.

New Arcana skins light up League of Legends

Arcana has been a highly acclaimed skin line, bringing a distinct crimson flare to champions’ appearances and abilities, flavored with a tarot-esque aesthetic focusing on the starry iconography of fortune-telling cards. Arcana skins’ effects have received praise for crisp outlines and significant quality upgrades for some of the older champions brought in.

Five new champions will receive Arcana skins. Each receives a new set of visual effects, a re-skin, and a new signature recall. Not every Arcana skin has been a hit, with some fans disliking Arcane Xerath for transforming the ascended mage into an otherwise normal human being for the sake of aesthetics. Red, gold, and black make a great color palette change for many League of Legends characters, and Arcane’s crisp indicators only double down on the appeal of that.

While both Xayah and Rakan get unique recalls with the newly announced skins, they don’t get a new recall when they return to the fountain together. Xayah and Rakan can jump in on each others’ recalls, but the animation for it won’t change with the new items in the line, unlike some other skins for the lovers’ lane.

Previous skins in the line have gone for the reasonable price of 1,350 Riot Points, and fans should expect these new versions to go for that same price point.
