MultiVersus Season 1, Morty DLC release date delayed

MultiVersus season 1 delayed

The release date of MultiVersus Season 1 has been delayed, which means Morty won’t become playable on August 9th.

After a successful open beta that has roped in fans from numerous Warner Bros. franchises, the game’s about to officially release. The two-part testing phase provided a good look at each character in the lineup, building up even more hype. The developer had teased plenty of new content for the official release, but the game seems to have encountered some obstacles.

MultiVersus was previously announced for August 9th, but the developer has put the release date on ice.

When is MultiVersus season 1 releasing?

Due to unknown hiccups, MultiVersus’ release date has been postponed. Players will have to wait some more to get a first look at new content coming in season 1.

Previously, the game was confirmed to come out of testing on August 9th, along with the brand new character Morty. However, the devs have scratched that date to ensure to deliver “new and exciting content that delights players.” The new MultiVersus season 1 release date is currently unknown, and the delay could be weeks or months.

“We want to let everyone know that we are delaying the start of Season 1 & the release of Morty to a later date. We’ll let you know the timing as soon as we can. We appreciate your patience & enthusiasm and look forward to unveiling Season 1 very soon!” the developer said.

But, players can cash on this opportunity and grind their pre-season battle pass for longer. Due to the delay, the devs have extended the end date until August 15th. The end date noted in-game will not change, but the battle pass will continue after August 8th through the 15th.

After adding Lebron James to the active roster, the developer announced Morty for season 1 of MultiVersus. Rick and Morty have a history of touring realities together, but they’d spawn as separate individuals in MultiVersus. Morty will be a bruiser in MultiVersus, joining the likes of Taz, Batman, and more. Those who tested all 17 characters were eager to try out Morty, but they’ll still have to wait.

To make up for lost time, players can receive more updates regarding in-game content during the wait time, ensuring the hype doesn’t simmer down. The developer has revealed some battle pass information that may help players prepare ahead of the release.

How many tiers will MultiVersus battle pass have?

Unlike beta, the season 1 battle pass will have more content and cosmetics. It is planned to have have 50 tiers and cost 950 Gleamium, roughly $10.
