Most expensive AK-47 CSGO skin costs more than most houses
The most expensive AK-47 skin in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will sell for more than $400,000.
Danish CSGO skin collector Luksusbums has listed the crown jewel of his collection up for auction starting at $400,000. As a perfect blue gem AK-47 | Case Hardened, the skin is likely the single most valuable gun skin in all of CSGO. The sale of the gun has not been confirmed, with the eventual price reportedly still in flux. Here’s what the most expensive AK-47 skin in CSGO looks like and all the factors pushing its cost to the moon.
The skin in question is a minimal wear StatTrak™ 661 pattern AK-47 | Case Hardened with four holographic Titan Katowice 2014 stickers. The gun skin has also seen occasional use from pro players, most recently Owen “smooya” Butterfield.
According to esports news insider Jake Lucky, Luksusbums has already received multiple offers for the skin. He did not reveal what those offers entailed, but they have possibly pushed the price of the skin past the $500,000 mark. It’s also possible that it will be traded for multiple top-level skins. Either way, this deal will go down in history as the most expensive AK-47 trade in all of CSGO.
Why is this blue gem AK-47 skin so expensive?
Similar to other skins we’ve covered, this AK-47 skin is a perfect storm of pattern, float, and stickers.
To start with the pattern, this AK-47 | Case Hardened has pattern 661. This is the absolute most valuable blue gem pattern for the AK, and there are only 119 registered guns with the pattern. It has the maximum amount of blue on the top and left side of the gun, which are the areas most visible to the player.
However, that’s far from the only 661 pattern AK-47 on the market. The float is what really pushes this skin to extremes. There are only 11 tradable StatTrak™ perfect blue gem AK-47s in the world, and this one has a float of 0.1197. That makes this minimal-wear the absolute cleanest example of the most coveted rifle skin. Furthermore, it is StatTrak™, which is approximately nine times rarer than the standard skin.
But even that isn’t enough to shoot this gun into the $400,000 range. The real spice is the stickers applied to it. The most expensive AK-47 skin in the world also has four holographic Titan stickers from Katowice 2014, which are currently valued at over $70,000 each unapplied. Of course, stickers lose some value once attached to a gun, but this perfect four-piece is by far the priciest sticker combo with no room for debate.
