New characters have landed in popular fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ.
The first two DLC characters for the game’s second season of content have hit stores. These newcomers are Jiren the Gray and Videl.
Jiren is one of the most powerful characters introduced in Dragon Ball Super. A representative of Universe 11 in the Tournament of Power, he is capable of defeating Super Saiyan Blue Goku in one-on-one combat. His representation in Dragon Ball FighterZ comes with an interesting moveset that includes multiple counter options and powerful command grabs.
Videl may be a more familiar face for older fans of the franchise. The daughter of Mr. Satan and the eventual wife of Gohan, Videl is one of the strongest humans in the anime series, working as a famous crimefighter before fighting alongside the saiyans. Though she appears in almost every Dragon Ball series, it is her original Dragon Ball Z iteration, alongside her husband’s alter-ego The Great Saiyaman, that made it into the game. She’ll bring a fighting style with a heavy emphasis on assists, similar to Android 18.
Both heroes are available across all versions of Dragon Ball FighterZ, with a price tag of $5 each. They are also included in the second FighterZ Pass, which will package all six of the new DLC characters together for $25.
Alongside the release of Jiren and Videl are teases for the next pair of purchasable characters. These are the Dragon Ball Super versions of Broly and Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta. Neither character yet has a release date.
