The latest Twitch leaks have been a hot topic ever since streamer incomes were officially revealed to the world. Charles “MoistCr1tiKaL” White is one of the Twitch streamers to have their Twitch income blasted out to the public, revealing him to be one of the top earners on the platform.

Cr1tiKal made $118,000 on Twitch in September 2021 alone. The outspoken YouTuber decided to make a video about the Twitch leak, further opening up about his income and some of his frustrations with the community’s reaction.

MoistCr1tiKaL opens up about Twitch salary leak

MoistCr1tiKaL addressed the Twitch community in a long video discussing the leak earlier this week. He questioned why the salaries were seen as the highlight of the leak when the 4chan hacker had also gotten Twitch’s entire source code and other sensitive information.

“Everyone lost their f—— mind,” MoistCr1tiKaL ranted. “I think this is the least important topic of this entire hack.”

Not only was MoistCr1tiKaL concerned about the sensitive information outsiders had gotten a hold of, he was also not sure why the salaries were so interesting to people in the first place. MoistCr1tiKaL explained that the numbers in the leak are “very close” to public knowledge since it only included subscribers and ad revenue, which can be calculated by looking at a streamer’s subscriber count and viewership.

“People are acting like this is some big ‘gotcha’ moment. This was the hole in the condom that we needed to find. It turns out, streamers making money from this platform!” MoistCr1tiKaL joked. “All the leak did was do the math for you. But people are acting like they just found the Krabby Patty Secret Formula. Some streamers even have their subs in front of your face the entire stream, begging you to calculate their income.”

Are the Twitch salary leaks accurate?

While Cr1tiKaL was quick to say that the leaked income was public knowledge, he did add that the numbers are actually “too low.” The streamers in the top 100 of Twitch are making “significantly” more than what’s represented on the leak. MoistCr1tiKaL explained that donations, sponsorships, and Twitch contracts were not being accounted for.

“xQc is listed at $8.6 million. You’re f—— crazy if you think that’s all he’s making,” MoistCr1tiKaL said.

This means that MoistCr1tiKaL is most likely making a lot more money than was revealed in the Twitch leaks. He receives a lot of donations and even has his own esports team focused on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. But MoistCr1tiKaL rolled his eyes at the haters who are mad that he is making so much money, mocking fans who felt “misled” by him.

“I don’t get it. Just because I’m not some douchebag who flexes their wealth all the time doesn’t mean I’m not well off,” MoistCr1tiKaL ranted. “I’m extremely lucky and fortunate to be in the situation I’m in, which I say all the time. I don’t put on an act and pretend to be broke and say I’m starving, eating chicken fries off the Burger King bathroom floor. I don’t say I need primes to survive and that I’m starving to death.”

Cr1tiKaL didn’t seem too bothered to have a portion of his income leaked. Instead, he was more focused on the first hack being labeled “part one.” This means it’s “just an appetizer,” MoistCr1tiKaL said. He is worried about what will be in “part two.”

“It could be something crazy, like Jeff Bezos’s dick pics. I don’t know what to expect but it’s apparently wild stuff,” Cr1tiKaL said.
