Pokemon Legends: Arceus has received strongly positive reviews but that didn’t stop some streamers from speaking up about the game’s shortcomings. This included Charles “MoistCr1TiKaL” White, who had some advice for The Pokemon Company.

The Pokemon community has been anticipating Legends: Arceus for quite some time since the game takes a break from the usual formula that most Pokemon games follow. The Pokemon spin-off has open-world environments and unique mechanics. But MoistCr1TiKaL feels as though people are not criticizing the game’s shortcomings enough due to a bias for Pokemon.

MoistCr1TiKaL calls out Pokemon Legends: Arceus’ bad graphics

During a stream on January 29, MoistCr1TiKaL decided to not hold back his feedback for The Pokemon Company. Despite coming out in 2022, the popular Twitch streamer and YouTuber said he felt the game was very dated in some important aspects.

“This is a modern game. Graphically it is on par with GameCube. Gale of Darkness looks almost to this level, not quite as good, and that game came out in 2008,” MoistCr1TiKaL said.

But it wasn’t just that the graphics looked bad. The lack of details made the game a bit dull.

“The world is also extremely empty. The world is bland. Every single environment is the same copy and paste environment from the first zone. It doesn’t change, it doesn’t evolve,” MoistCr1TiKaL continued.

MoistCr1TiKaL was clearly getting sick of Pokemon fans brushing off the subpar graphics of Pokemon Legends: Arceus. He said that these are “real complaints” that fans should stop pushing aside just because they “like” the game.

“It does make you a shill,” he added.

Despite the ongoing frustration with underwhelming graphics, the Pokemon community has still warmly embraced Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The game has record-breaking sales, with UK retailer Currys announcing it was its most pre-ordered game ever.

At the time of writing, Pokemon Legends: Arceus had a whopping 145,000 viewers on Twitch.
