Mark Zuckerberg Teases Twitch Debut
We’ve seen several famous people on Twitch like Post Malone and Mike Shinoda and the platform has done well attracting big names. But now, it seems the platform might get an appearance from a very powerful tech executive.
At the recent Meta Connect event in California, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that he might make his debut on the site.
What Will Mark Zuckerberg Plan on Twitch
Mark Zuckerberg wants to hold a Twitch stream where he will play the video game Civilizations.
The game requires players to develop strategy and build an empire over time. It is also a long-running franchise, with the first game released back in 1991 and the newest instalment coming next year.
This would be impressive enough but Zuckerberg also has a long history with it. He has been a lifelong player and it was the game that made him want to become an engineer. When he received the news that he got into Harvard, he was playing the game.
Even after becoming a billionaire and head of one of the biggest companies in the world, he has continued to enjoy Civilizations. In fact, his wife recently discovered that he has logged in thousands of hours on the game.
Given the amount of time he’s spent in the Civilizations universe, he believes he’s become one of the best in the world at it.
“In terms of strategy games, the one that I’m more likely to want to be the best in the world at is Civilization. I think at some point, I should do like a Twitch stream of me playing with someone because I’m pretty convinced I’m close to Grand Master status,” he said.
While he has not yet set up this channel, some believe that it is only a matter of time. A world-famous CEO would certainly attract attention and if he goes up against other players, he could finally confirm whether or not he is the best in the world.
