Ludwig under fire for Fansly sponsorship, xQc reacts
Ludwig under fire for Fansly sponsorship, xQc reacts
Streamers have been arguing back and forth over some content creators taking a sponsorship from Fansly, an OnlyFans competitor. Felix “xQc” Lengyel is the latest to weigh in on the situation.
Fansly is a subscription-based social media platform that is largely associated with adult content. Despite this mature reputation, Fansly has sponsored Ludwig Ahgren and his show
JUICED, which is hosted by xQc himself. This was brought up to xQc during a livestream, which led him to comment on Fansly being involved.
xQc responds to Ludwig Fansly backlash
According to the Juicer, he had “zero knowledge” that Fansly was a sponsor. xQc added that he never signed anything with Fansly himself and hasn’t been paid by Fansly. But this didn’t stop other streamers from criticizing the presence of the controversial sponsor.
The owner of the infamous GTA No Pixel roleplaying server, Koil, called out Ludwig for taking the sponsorship. He claimed that Ludwig was being a hypocrite since his girlfriend, QTCinderella, spoke out against
deepfake-related adult content.
Said Koil: “Isn’t it crazy that people in the industry, and on Twitch, will cry about the exploitation of women… And then their boyfriend will go and take a sponsor from Fansly.”
This argument was seen as quite flawed for many reasons. A lot of people responded that the deepfake porn was made without the consent of the female streamers involved, while the women on Fansly are purposefully sharing adult content themselves.
As the controversy continued, someone brought it to xQc during a recent stream. The viewer debated that their audience was too young to be promoting porn, to which xQc replied that his average viewer age was 20. The viewer countered that Ludwig’s fans are younger and shouldn’t be encouraged to buy porn.
xQc immediately cut the fan off, noting that Fansly isn’t just for adult content. But even the people who do use it to promote adult content have “safeguards” like age verifications.
So far, Ludwig hasn’t made any comment himself regarding the Fansly sponsorship. Hopefully, xQc’s clapbacks are enough to end the controversy.
