Visitors to the page are greeted with a “begin exploring” button. Upon pressing it, a visitor is taken closer into the map, where the various factions of League of Legends lore exist.

The warring kingdoms of Demacia and Noxus hold the majority of the largest landmass, and the frozen domain of the Freljord spans the north coast. The kingdom of Ionia is in the north east, and the archipelagos of Bilgewater and the Shadow Isles lie south of Ionia.

The vast desert of Shurima takes up most of the southern continent. Mount Targon lies at the west-most point. To the north, the cities of Piltover and Zaun connect the two larger landmass bodies.

Bandle City, the home of the yordles, is represented by a random, moving point on the map. This is to indicate that no one truly knows where Bandle City is. Truly, it is a mythical land of curious enchantment.

What’s even more exciting is that there are some unmarked islands in the water. Could Riot Games potentially be saving these for lore expansion in the future? We’ll have to wait and see. For now, this map is an extremely immersive look into the world behind Riot’s popular MOBA.
